What to know before you order, and right after.
What is Easypanel?
Easypanel is a Docker-based control panel published by a third party. From a web interface, it deploys your applications, databases and websites in containers, and issues their HTTPS certificates automatically.
Is Easypanel suitable for beginners?
Easypanel saves you from writing Docker configuration files or setting up a reverse proxy by hand: most operations are done from the interface. A few basics still help, such as pointing a domain name to an IP address. You keep root access to the server if you want to go further.
How do I access Easypanel after ordering?
Once the VPS is created, Easypanel is installed automatically. Open http://<server IP>:3000 in your browser and create your account: the first account created becomes the administrator, so do it right away. Then point a domain name to the server's IP address (A record) and add it in the Easypanel settings to reach the panel over HTTPS.
What minimum configuration do I need?
Easypanel needs at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of storage. Every plan on this page meets it.
Can I change plan later?
Yes. You can move to a larger VPS size from the console when your applications need more resources.
Are my applications backed up?
Daily backups available as an option from €0.99 excl. VAT/month, depending on the plan: they back up the whole VPS, Easypanel and your applications included. Your first snapshot is free: take one before a major update.
Why a VPS rather than shared hosting?
Shared hosting runs your sites in a shared environment and does not let you run your own containers. Easypanel needs Docker and root access: a VPS gives you a complete server with its own resources, on which you can deploy any containerised application.
