Backups and snapshots
Online in three steps
Nothing to install: you order, Grafana is deployed on your server and published over HTTPS.
- 01
Pick your VPS
Select a plan with at least 2 vCPUs, 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk: Grafana is already ticked in the order.
- 02
Grafana deploys itself
The One Click Apps platform installs on your VPS, then deploys Grafana OSS with a generated admin password, without typing a single command.
- 03
Connect your data
Sign in with the admin account, add your data sources and build or import your first dashboards.
All of Grafana OSS, on your server
Grafana Labs' visualisation and alerting tool, deployed with One Click Apps: you build your dashboards, the platform handles HTTPS, updates and backups.
Dynamic dashboards
Panels with graphs, gauges, tables or maps, and variables that turn into drop-downs so one dashboard serves many cases.
Built-in data sources
Prometheus, Graphite, InfluxDB, Loki, Elasticsearch, Tempo, Jaeger, MySQL, PostgreSQL and SQL Server work without a plugin.
Mixed data sources
Show queries from several data sources in the same graph, picked query by query.
Explore
Query your data without building a dashboard, and compare two time ranges or two sources side by side.
Alerting
Alert rules on your metrics, notified by email, Slack, Discord, Telegram, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty or webhook.
Plugin catalog
Add data sources and panel types published by Grafana Labs, its partners or the community.
Dashboard import
Import a dashboard as JSON, or a dashboard published on grafana.com by its ID.
Users, teams and folders
Invite your team, group dashboards into folders and set who can view or edit them.
Managed from the console with One Click Apps
Automatic HTTPS
An HTTPS address from the moment it is deployed, or your own domain with its Let's Encrypt certificate.
Logs and variables
Read the Grafana logs and set its configuration through environment variables, without opening a terminal.
Updates
The console detects new Grafana versions, and you run the update when you decide to.
Daily backups
Grafana's data volume backed up every day and kept for 7 days, restorable in one click.
Grafana is published by Grafana Labs. The deployed image is Grafana OSS, released under the AGPL-3.0 licence: you use it for free, including commercially; if you modify its code and offer it to other users over a network, the AGPL asks you to publish the source. Grafana Enterprise and Grafana Cloud are Grafana Labs offerings, separate from this VPS offer.

Grafana FAQ
What to know before you order, and right after.
What is Grafana?
Grafana is a visualisation and alerting tool published by Grafana Labs. It queries your data sources, such as Prometheus, InfluxDB, Loki or an SQL database, shows the results in dashboards, and runs alert rules on your metrics.
Is Grafana free?
Yes. The deployed image is Grafana OSS, the open source edition, released under the AGPL-3.0 licence and free to use, including commercially. Grafana Labs also sells Grafana Enterprise and Grafana Cloud, which are separate paid offerings. The prices shown on this page are those of the VPS.
Does Grafana store my metrics?
No. Grafana reads data where it is stored: you need a data source, for example Prometheus, InfluxDB or an SQL database, hosted on this VPS or elsewhere. Grafana only keeps its own configuration, dashboards, users and alert rules, in its SQLite database on the application's data volume.
How do I access Grafana after ordering?
Once the VPS is created, the One Click Apps platform installs and then deploys Grafana. Its HTTPS address and the generated admin password are shown in the console, in the application's Overview tab. Sign in with the admin user, then change that password.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Add it in the application's Domains tab. If the DNS zone is managed at OnetSolutions, the A record is created for you; otherwise, the console shows the IP address to point it to. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
What minimum configuration do I need?
One Click Apps needs at least 2 vCPUs, 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk, with 1 GB of memory reserved for the system and the platform. Grafana's documentation recommends at least 512 MB of memory and 1 core: every plan on this page goes beyond that. Plan more if you also host Prometheus, Loki or a database on the same server.
How do I send alerts by email?
Grafana sends email through an SMTP server you give it. Set it with the GF_SMTP_ environment variables in the application's Variables tab: the console restarts Grafana to apply the new values. Other channels, such as Slack, Discord or Telegram, are set up directly in Grafana.
Are my dashboards backed up?
Grafana's data volume, which holds its dashboards, users and alert rules, is backed up every day at 03:00 and kept for 7 days, on the VPS disk: it protects you from a mistake in the application, not from losing the server. For that, add the VPS backup option (from €1.99 excl. VAT/month) or take a snapshot. Your external data sources are not covered.
How do updates work?
Every night, the platform compares the deployed Grafana image with the one published upstream. When a new version exists, the console shows a banner and you run the update when you decide to; the data volume is kept. Run a backup before a major version change.
Who looks after Grafana once it is installed?
Grafana is developed by Grafana Labs. Our support covers the VPS: the server, its network, its storage and its availability. Grafana, its configuration, your dashboards and their updates remain your responsibility: the console gives you the tools to manage them, and you keep root access to the server.
