Backups and snapshots
Online in three steps
Nothing to install: you order, Hoppscotch is deployed on your server and published over HTTPS.
- 01
Pick your VPS
Select a plan with at least 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk: Hoppscotch is already ticked in the order.
- 02
Hoppscotch deploys itself
The One Click Apps platform installs on your VPS, then deploys Hoppscotch, its PostgreSQL database and its schema migration.
- 03
Configure and test
Open /admin on the HTTPS address, choose your sign-in methods, then send your first request.
All of Hoppscotch, on your server
The web app, admin dashboard and backend of Hoppscotch Community Edition, deployed with One Click Apps: your collections and environments stay in your own PostgreSQL database.
REST requests
Method, parameters, headers, auth token and request body, as JSON, multipart or binary; the response shows its status, headers and response time.
GraphQL
Connect to a GraphQL server, browse its schema documentation and run your queries with their variables.
Realtime
Test WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, Socket.IO and MQTT connections: send messages and follow what the server sends back.
Collections and variables
Organise your requests into collections and reuse base URLs and API keys with global, environment, collection and request variables.
Scripts and tests
Run JavaScript before sending to prepare a token or a variable, then check the response with tests after each request.
Collection runner
Run every request in a collection in sequence, with a delay between them, several iterations and the environment of your choice.
Import from your tools
Import collections and environments from Postman, Insomnia, OpenAPI or a HAR file, without retyping anything.
Code snippets
Generate the code for a request in JavaScript, Python, Shell and other languages, ready to paste into your project.
Team workspaces
Invite colleagues into shared workspaces; the admin dashboard manages users, invitations and teams.
Managed from the console with One Click Apps
Automatic HTTPS
An HTTPS address from the moment it is deployed, or your own domain with its Let's Encrypt certificate.
Logs and variables
Read the Hoppscotch logs and edit its environment variables without opening a terminal.
Updates
The console detects new Hoppscotch versions, and you run the update when you decide to.
Daily backups
The Hoppscotch PostgreSQL database backed up every day and kept for 7 days, restorable in one click.
Hoppscotch is published by a third party as open source under the MIT licence. We deploy its free Community Edition. The Hoppscotch Enterprise Edition, which adds SAML and OpenID Connect SSO and audit logs among other things, is sold by the publisher and is not provided with the VPS.

Hoppscotch FAQ
What to know before you order, and right after.
What is Hoppscotch?
Hoppscotch is an open source API development platform published by a third party. It is used to build, test and debug REST, GraphQL and realtime APIs, alone or as a team, from a browser, a desktop app or a CLI.
Is Hoppscotch free?
Yes. The Community Edition, the one we deploy, is free and published under the MIT licence. The publisher also sells an Enterprise Edition (SAML and OpenID Connect SSO, audit logs, dedicated support): it is not provided with the VPS. The prices shown on this page are those of the VPS.
How do I sign in the first time?
Open the application's HTTPS address followed by /admin. The admin dashboard onboarding asks you to choose sign-in methods: GitHub, Google or Microsoft, with OAuth credentials created at the provider, or email, which needs an SMTP server to send sign-in links. The first user to sign in to the admin dashboard becomes its administrator: do it right after the deployment.
Why do my requests to a local or non-CORS API fail?
The web app sends requests from your browser, which enforces CORS rules. Turn on an interceptor in the Hoppscotch settings: the Hoppscotch Agent, a small app installed on your computer, or the browser extension. They also let you reach an API on your local network. The Hoppscotch desktop app can connect to your instance too.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Add it in the application's Domains tab. If the DNS zone is managed at OnetSolutions, the A record is created for you; otherwise, the console shows the IP address to point it to. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically. Then remember to register the new callback address with your OAuth providers.
What minimum configuration do I need?
The Hoppscotch documentation asks for 1 core and 2 GB of RAM to host the application. One Click Apps also reserves 1 GB of memory for the system and the platform, and needs at least 2 vCPUs and 30 GB of disk: so we offer Hoppscotch from 2 vCPUs and 4 GB of RAM. Every plan on this page meets that minimum.
Are my collections backed up?
The Hoppscotch PostgreSQL volume is backed up every day at 03:00 and kept for 7 days, on the VPS disk: these backups protect you from a mistake in the application, not from losing the server. For that, add the VPS backup option (from €1.99 excl. VAT/month) or take a snapshot.
How is Hoppscotch updated?
Every night, the platform compares the installed version with the one published upstream. When an update is available, a banner shows it on the application page and you run it when you decide to; nothing is updated without your action. Data is kept during the update.
Who looks after Hoppscotch once it is installed?
Hoppscotch is developed and maintained by its publisher. Our support covers the VPS: the server, its network, its storage and its availability. The application, its configuration, its users and its updates remain your responsibility: the console gives you the tools to manage them, and you keep root access to the server.
