Up to 1 Gbps
OnetSolutions API
Backups and snapshots
Your video meetings in three steps
Nothing to install: you order, Jitsi Meet is deployed on your server and published over HTTPS.
- 01
Pick your VPS
Select a plan with at least 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk: Jitsi Meet is already selected in the order.
- 02
Jitsi Meet deploys
The One Click Apps platform installs on your VPS, then deploys the web interface, the Prosody XMPP server, Jicofo and the video bridge, without a single command to type.
- 03
Start your first meeting
Open the HTTPS address, name the meeting and share the link. The video bridge uses UDP port 10000: allow it if you have custom firewall rules.
Complete video conferencing, on your server
Jitsi Meet, deployed with One Click Apps: your meetings run through your VPS, the platform takes care of HTTPS, updates and backups.
No account for participants
Name the meeting and share its address: your guests join from their browser, with no sign-up.
HD audio and video
Conversations in HD audio and video, with the Opus audio codec.
Screen sharing
Present your desktop, a window or a document to every participant.
Chat and private messages
Write during the meeting, to everyone or privately to one participant.
Raise hand and reactions
Ask to speak or react without interrupting the speaker.
Polls
Ask the room a question and collect the answers live.
Virtual backgrounds
Blur or replace your camera background.
Encrypted streams
Audio and video are encrypted on the network (DTLS-SRTP) and only decrypted in memory, inside the video bridge running on your VPS. End-to-end encryption can be turned on in browsers based on Chromium 83 and later.
Meeting password
Protect a meeting with a password you share with your guests.
Mobile apps and SDKs
iOS and Android apps (App Store, Google Play, F-Droid), plus web and native SDKs to embed video calls in your own tools.
For video, capacity depends on bandwidth first
The video bridge receives each participant's stream and forwards it to the others: traffic grows with the number of participants and the resolution of their videos. Jitsi does not publish a number of participants per server, but gives per-stream orders of magnitude to compare with your plan's bandwidth.
Bandwidth of one video stream, according to Jitsi
- 180p200 kbit/s
- 360p500 kbit/s
- 720p (HD)2.5 Mbit/s
- 4K10 Mbit/s
Bandwidth of our Jitsi Meet plans
- General Purpose200–300 Mbps
- Performance1 Gbps
- High Performance1 Gbps
According to the Jitsi guide, 1 Gbit/s will often be enough for a friends or small organization server. For regular meetings, prefer the Performance and High Performance ranges.

Jitsi Meet FAQ
What to know before ordering, and right after.
What is Jitsi Meet?
Jitsi Meet is open source video conferencing software published by a third party: HD audio and video, screen sharing, chat, polls and mobile apps. Hosted on your VPS, it gives you your own video service, at your address, with no account to create for your participants.
Under which license is Jitsi Meet released? Is it free?
Jitsi Meet is released under the Apache 2.0 license. There is no license to buy and no user limit set by the software: the prices shown on this page are for the VPS.
How many participants can my VPS host?
Jitsi does not publish a figure per server: capacity depends on bandwidth first, then on the number of participants and the resolution of their videos. Its guide gives about 200 kbit/s per stream at 180p, 500 kbit/s at 360p, 2.5 Mbit/s at 720p and 10 Mbit/s at 4K, and says 1 Gbit/s will often be enough for a friends or small organization server. Our eligible General Purpose plans range from 200 to 300 Mbps, the Performance and High Performance ranges offer 1 Gbps. Try it with your real meetings: you're covered by the 30-day money-back guarantee.
What minimum configuration do I need?
The Jitsi self-hosting guide usually suggests 8 GB of RAM, 4 GB for small meetings and 2 GB only for test servers; 4 cores can be enough for a basic server, and 20 GB of disk will do without heavy logging. We therefore only offer plans with at least 2 vCPUs, 4 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk, with 1 GB of memory reserved for the system and the One Click Apps platform. For regular meetings, aim for 8 GB and 4 vCPUs.
Who can create meetings on my server?
As deployed, Jitsi Meet is open: anyone who knows the address can create a meeting. To restrict meeting creation to accounts, the Jitsi Docker guide describes authentication (ENABLE_AUTH and AUTH_TYPE variables, accounts created with prosodyctl in the Prosody container): it's an administration task, done with your root access to the server.
Which ports need to be open?
The One Click Apps installation opens ports 80 and 443 for the web interface. Audio and video go through the video bridge's UDP port 10000: if you have defined custom rules in your instance's Firewall tab, add a rule for this port.
Can I record meetings?
Not with this deployment. Recording and live streaming go through Jibri, a separate component the deployment does not include. The Jitsi guide says you need at least 8 GB of RAM per recording at 720p, and advises against hosting it on the same server as Jitsi Meet.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Add it in the application's Domains tab. If the DNS zone is managed at OnetSolutions, the A record is created for you; otherwise, the console shows the IP address to point to. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
What is backed up, and how is Jitsi Meet updated?
Jitsi's configuration volumes are backed up every day at 3 a.m. and kept for 7 days, on the VPS disk; the meetings themselves are not stored. Against losing the server, add the VPS backup option (from €1.99 excl. VAT/month) or take a snapshot. Every night, the console compares the deployed version with the one published upstream and shows a banner when an update is available: you start it when you decide to.
Who looks after Jitsi Meet once it's installed?
Our support covers the VPS: the server, its network, its storage and its availability. Jitsi Meet, its configuration and its updates remain your responsibility: the console gives you the tools to manage them, and you keep root access to the server.
