What to know before you order, and right after.
What is Odoo?
Odoo is a suite of business apps published by Odoo S.A.: CRM, sales, invoicing, inventory, purchasing, point of sale, website, project, human resources… Each app is installed on demand and shares the same database as the others.
Which Odoo edition is installed?
The Community edition, released under the GNU LGPL v3 licence. At the moment, the One Click Apps catalogue deploys Odoo 18 Community with a PostgreSQL 16 database. Apps reserved for the Enterprise edition, such as full Accounting, Studio, Helpdesk, Sign or Documents, are not included.
Is Odoo Community free?
Yes. Odoo Community is free and needs no licence key or Odoo subscription, and One Click Apps comes with the VPS at no extra cost. You only pay for the VPS, at the prices shown on this page. Odoo's paid services and those of your payment providers are billed by them directly.
Can I use Odoo Enterprise?
Odoo Enterprise is a paid edition, under Odoo S.A.'s proprietary licence, that requires a subscription taken out with Odoo. OnetSolutions does not sell that licence and One Click Apps does not install it: check Odoo's terms for self-hosted use before considering it on your server.
Where is my data stored?
On your VPS, hosted in a datacenter in France: Odoo's PostgreSQL database and files run on your own server, and you keep root SSH access to it.
How do I reach Odoo after ordering?
Once the VPS is created, Odoo is deployed with One Click Apps. Open it from your instance's One Click Apps section: its HTTPS address is on the Overview tab. On first sign-in, Odoo offers to create your database and administrator account. For production, add your domain on the Domains tab: the HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
What configuration do I need?
One Click Apps requires at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk, and reserves 1 GB of memory for the system and the platform. Every plan on this page meets that minimum. The more users, installed apps and data you have, the more memory Odoo and PostgreSQL need: leave some headroom.
Is my Odoo data backed up?
Odoo and PostgreSQL volumes are backed up every day at 3 am, with 7-day retention, and can be restored from the console. These backups are stored on the instance: to protect yourself against losing the server, add a snapshot or the VPS backup option, from €1.99 excl. VAT/month.
How do I update Odoo?
Every night, the platform checks whether a new image has been published. If so, an "Update available" banner shows up in the console and you run the update when you decide. Data volumes are kept. Moving to a new major Odoo version is a database migration: back up and test first.
Who looks after Odoo once it is deployed?
You do. Odoo runs on your own server: its setup, your modules, your data, their updates and their security are yours to run, with your integrator if you have one. Our support covers the instance itself: the server, its network, its storage and its availability.
