Make your repositories reachable
Redmine reads repositories stored on its own server. For Git, put a clone of your repositories in a volume Redmine can read, over SSH.

Redmine FAQ
What to know before you order, and right after.
What is Redmine?
Redmine is a project management web application written with the Ruby on Rails framework. It brings together issue tracking, a Gantt chart and calendar, time tracking, a wiki and forums per project, and code repository integration.
Is Redmine free? Under which licence?
Yes. Redmine is open source software released under the GNU GPL v2, which allows use, modification and redistribution with no licence fee. The prices shown on this page are for the VPS.
Which Redmine version is deployed?
The application follows the official image of Redmine's 6 branch, with a PostgreSQL 17 database. New versions released in that branch are detected by the console.
How do I access Redmine after ordering?
Once the VPS is created, the One Click Apps platform installs and then deploys Redmine and PostgreSQL. The HTTPS address is shown in the application's Overview tab. Sign in with the admin / admin account created by Redmine and change that password immediately, then load the default configuration (trackers, statuses, roles) from the administration area.
How do I set up email notifications?
Redmine sends its emails over SMTP, configured in the config/configuration.yml file. That file lives in the application's configuration volume: edit it over SSH with your email provider's credentials, then restart Redmine from the console.
What minimum configuration do I need?
Redmine does not publish minimum hardware requirements. One Click Apps requires at least 2 vCPU, 2 GB of RAM and 30 GB of disk, with 1 GB of memory reserved for the system and the platform: Redmine and PostgreSQL fit in the rest for a team. Choose 4 GB or more if you plan to deploy other applications alongside it.
Are my projects and files backed up?
The Redmine volumes (configuration, attachments, plugins, themes) and its PostgreSQL database are backed up every day at 3 am and kept for 7 days, on the VPS disk: they protect you from a mistake in the application, not from losing the server. For that, add the VPS backup option (from €1.99 excl. VAT/month) or take a snapshot.
How do Redmine updates work?
The console detects new versions and shows an Update available banner. You start the update when you decide to: data volumes are kept. Take a backup first, and check that your plugins support the new version.
Can I use my own domain name?
Yes. Add it in the application's Domains tab. If the DNS zone is managed at OnetSolutions, the A record is created for you; otherwise, the console shows you the IP address to point to. The HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
Who looks after Redmine once it is installed?
Our support covers the VPS: the server, its network, its storage and its availability. Redmine, its configuration, your plugins, your projects, your user accounts and updates remain your responsibility: the console gives you the tools to manage them, and you keep root access to the server.
